In this role, you will:
- Prepare the classroom and resources for engaging lessons.
- Teach core subjects like English, Maths, and Science, building on foundational skills.
- Lead targeted small group activities and incorporate hands-on learning.
- Prepare students for their end-of-Key Stage 1 assessments (SATs) in a supportive manner.
- Assess student understanding and progress throughout the day.
- Manage classroom behaviour, routines, and transitions.
- Supervise children during break and lunch times.
- Mark work and plan future lessons after school.
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.
Skills and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience working with Year 2 or Key Stage 1 students is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment framework.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to creating a positive learning environment.
