In this role, you will:

• Prepare the classroom and resources for engaging lessons.
• Teach core subjects like English, Maths, and Science, building on foundational skills.
• Lead targeted small group activities and incorporate hands-on learning.
• Prepare students for their end-of-Key Stage 1 assessments (SATs) in a supportive manner.
• Assess student understanding and progress throughout the day.
• Manage classroom behaviour, routines, and transitions.
• Supervise children during break and lunch times.
• Mark work and plan future lessons after school.
• Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.

Skills and Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Experience working with Year 2 or Key Stage 1 students is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment framework.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital.
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to creating a positive learning environment.
